The Blacksmiths lies within four acres of grounds on the very edge of Cropton Forest, set within the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors. Lying midway between Kirkbymoorside and Pickering, the Blacksmiths provides an ideal base to explore the many attractions of the moors; great cycling routes, endless walks, the incredible variety of wildlife on the moors and the beautiful villages and hamlets that lie within and around the moors. The many and varied attractions of the historic city of York are an hours scenic drive away.

With parts of the Inn dating back to 1790, and sitting within four acres of beautiful grounds with uninterrupted views in all directions guests can enjoy an uniquely serene environment.

The Blacksmiths offers a large selection of en-suite rooms, all with differing views of the surrounding moors or forest. From the standard single and double rooms to the Garden rooms (extra large ground floor space) with their own private one acre garden on the edge of the Cropton forest, there is a room to suit all requirements.

Cosy lounge and bar areas with log fires, together with a sixty seat restaurant serving fabulous locally sourced food, together with a resident’s lounge and ample parking for even the largest get-togethers all combine to make the Blacksmiths Inn the ideal destination for functions, family gatherings and weddings or a relaxing stay away from it all.
